Penghargaan terbesar Entertainer of the Year diterima oleh Garth Brooks yang kembali ke dunia musik tahun 2014 dan berhasil mengalahkan pemenang tahun lalu, Luke Bryan.
Eric Church berhasil mendapatkan penghargaan Album of the Year lewat album Mr. Misunderstood, yang melakukan debut melalui panggung CMA Awards 2015. Ia juga tampil membawakan single terbarunya “Kill a Word” dengan vokalis Rhiannon Giddens.
