Terdapat beberapa kategori dari bidang Televisi dan Film di Golden Globe Awards 2022. Salah satunya untuk kategori Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role on Television yang dimenangkan oleh aktor Squid Game, O Yeong Su.
O Yeong-su mengalahkan sejumlah aktor ternama seperti Kieran Culki (Succession), Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), Mark Duplass (The Morning Show) dan Billy Crudup (The Morning Show). Langkah dari O Yeong-su gagal diikuti oleh Lee Lungjae yang gagal meraih Best Actor setelah kalah dari Jeremy Strong.

Sementara itu, aktor Andrew Garfield juga menang di kategori Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) dalam perannya di film Tick, Tick … Boom!. Andrew Garfield mengalahkan beberapa aktor lainnya seperti Leonardo DiCaprio, Peter Dinklage, Cooper Hoffman dan Anthony Ramos.
