Spotify telah merilis beberapa list musik yang paling sering didengarkan di tahun 2016 ini, mulai dari artis, album, dan lagu.

Dua tahun berturut-turut Drake dinobatkan menjadi most streamed artist dengan total streaming mencapai 4,7 miliar di tahun 2016.

“Drake has been unstoppable this year – he’s a true global superstar,” kata Stefan Blom, Chief Content & Chief Strategy Officer Spotify.

Album keempatnya, Views juga menjadi album pertama yang mencapai 1 miliar streams di Apple Music. Meraih 4x Platinum, Views juga mendapatkan nominasi di Grammy Awards untuk kategori Album of the Year dan Best Rap Album.

Rihanna menjadi penyanyi wanita yang paling banyak didengarkan dan Zayn Malik menjadi most streamed new comer.
